Kawasaki ZX-14 (2006-08) Window Links ZX14 Lowering Link Set (2006-08) ZX-14 (2006-2007) Drag shock Steering Damper Kit- ZX-14 Kawasaki (06-08)
Innovative ‘window’ allows remaining thread engagement to be visually inspected. Unlike other fully-adjustable links on the market (which leave you guessing how many threads are left holding the sections together), if you can’t see the threads in our windows, you may not have enough thread strength. This simple idea can prevent a potentially hazardous situation which could occur if the ends pulled out during the launch or down track.

2.    Direct replacement using stock hardware, etc… (Lower rear cowling/belly pan removal or modification NOT required.) Stock lengths duplicate our 3 hole adjustable links from position #TWO to an equal distance beyond position #THREE. This allows use in most lowered stock and extended swingarm applications. Custom lengths available--call for details.

3.    Light weight/exceptionally strong design derived utilizing stress analysis software. (Busa link set weighs 9 oz. total. ZX-14 Links set weighs 14 oz. total.)

4.    Laser etched “L” /Arrow shows direction to turn wrench to lower bike. Remember L = LOWER. (Links adjust LONGER to make the bike LOWER. Opposite direction to raise bike.)

5.    Allows rear ride height adjustments without removing links from bike. Use stock links (and/or calipers) as a guide with equal threads showing in each window, and then count the same number of flats on the adjustment rods on each link to adjust ride height. Use the window as a final inspection.

Note: Due to natural thread timing issues, not all windows will have the exact same amount of link showing in the window. Basically, if you can see threads in the window, then all is fine.  If threads are NOT showing in all adjustment windows, then DO NOT OPERATE the BIKE! Contact Advice@BrocksPerformance.com, or call our technical support line for additional information and/or optional adjustment rod lengths at 937-912-0061.

6.    Corrosion-free stainless steel adjustment rods and hardware. Follow your make/model service manual for torque specification on all original equipment fasteners. Standard ½ inch (or 13mm) open end wrench required for shaft (height) adjustment. 5/8 inch (or 16mm) open end wrench required for lock nut adjustment.

Also note: The L/Arrow also shows the direction to LOOSEN the lock nuts. After ride height adjustment, snug each lock nut (in the opposite direction of the L/Arrow) to prevent movement during operation of the bike. DO NOT OPERATE the motorcycle with the lock nuts loose! A drop of Loctite® Threadlocker Blue should be used on all threads as an added safety measure.

7.    Black anodized CNC machined billet aluminum ends designed to match the performance and look of today’s sportbikes.

be lowered in small increments.

Note: measure link clearance on your swingarm before ordering!

Lay a straight edge from the pivot point where the links mount and measure outward to the lower hoop brace. Our links require @.625 clearance MINIMUM.

NOTICE:2008 AMA/Dragbike SuperSport Rule Change affects some Dragshock applications

AMA/Dragbike’s recent rules amendment which allows 2” minimum ground clearance has uncovered clearance issues with some models. The lower ground clearance has allowed the top swingarm brace to raise to the point of obstruction with the bottom Dragshock reservoir during the launch. This is ONLY a problem with the stock swingarm top brace.

BIKES WITH AFTERMARKET SWINGARMS (WHICH ARE NOT TOP BRACED) ARE **NOT AFFECTED** BY THIS CLEARANCE ISSUE.

Currently, the known list of bikes which CAN NOT run Dragshocks at the 2” level are:

1.     2005-08 GSX-R1000

2.     2008 ZX-10R (FYI: it has this problem with the stock components when lowered)

Bikes which CAN run the Dragshock at the 2” level are:

1.     99-08 Hayabusa

2.     2006-08 ZX-14

We are currently testing other models please contact the Brock’s Performance technical department for information concerning your specific application or e-mail Advice@BrocksPerformance.com

Our shock controls the launch and the down track acceleration (traction) as a result of special piston/valving in addition to high AND low speed compression adjustments. When you add an extended swing arm or additional power, you must also add additional spring pressure to keep the bike from squatting too much or wheeling excessively. The additional spring pressure often times causes undesirable effects, like pogoing and tire spin. Our new shocks are designed to eliminate these problems.

Pro street bikes are notorious for top end tire spin, even the top racers can be seen "snaking" through beams.
Our compression settings help control this as proven by Phil Stoll on the Mirror Image Turbo Hayabusa which logged the Highest MPH ever recorded in the Class at Richmond Virginia 2005 with a stunning 202.9 MPH

The results of our Dragshock© in shorter wheelbase applications are also evident as proven by our 2005 AMA/Prostar National Championship- piloted by the legendary Rickey Gadson aboard the Brock's Performance 2005 GSX-R1000 Suzuki :

Working alongside Öhlins, we used the finest state-of-the art equipment to engineer these shocks.

We want to be able to share our technology with the other racers. We are now able to test the settings on a shock Dyno which eliminates the trial and error testing of the past. We realize most racers don’t have access to this type of testing.

We believe most racers will reap the benefits of the new shock instantly.

Ohlins
This strap attaches to a brake caliper mount and then over the triple tree, and then back to the other caliper bolt on the other side. You then "pull" the stap to the desired height and let go. It basically works just like a motorcycle tie down does, and has a release button to press to put the bike back to the stock height when riding on the street. This strap is intended for off road use only, not for use on public streets or highways. Always observe safety first. These straps are approved by NHRA and Prostar for the Street ET and Pro ET classes. Studebaker-M&R Naarden Fully Adjustable Lowering Links 01-04 GSX-R1000
